At the Town of Paradise, we understand that family comes first. That's why we offer a wide range of community programs and services.

Arts, Crafts and More!

This fall, join us for our popular craft program on Monday  and Friday  mornings from 9:45 to 10:15  a.m. at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre. This program is directed towards toddlers and preschoolers, who with guidance from their parent(s) / guardian(s) and our friendly staff, are invited to explore their creativity through a variety of crafts.

This program is free and resumes on Monday, September 10 and runs until Friday, December 14.

This program resumes again for the winter on Monday, January 7.

After School Program (ASP)
The After School Program (ASP) is designed to provide a fun and safe environment for children to play, learn and grow. This program is split into two hours of activity time; one hour in the gymnasium, and one hour in a multipurpose room.
The program includes a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, free play, games, homework time, theme days, and board games just to name a few. We offer early drop-off beginning at 2:30 p.m. and late pick-up ending at 5:30 p.m. Total program cost is $1000 covering from September to June. Bullying Awareness Week

Join us November as we recognize Bullying Awareness Week. There will be activities and sessions for youth and their families all week long.

Brighter Futures

Brighter Futures Cancellation Notice: Please be advised that the Brighter Futures Parent & Tot sessions at the St. Thomas Community Centre scheduled for Tuesday (October 23) and Tuesday (October 30) from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. are cancelled. Physical Activity Play Groups from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre on these dates will proceed, but will be parent run. Brighter Futures parent & tot programs, in partnership with the Town of Paradise is offering a free of charge, drop-in playgroup. Brighter Futures is open to parent(s)/caregiver(s) with children up to the age of six who are interested in getting active.

Brighter Future's programs resume the week of Monday, September 10.

  • Brighter Futures Play Group runs from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the St. Thomas Community Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Brighter Futures Physical Activity runs from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

High Five
HIGH FIVE® is Canada's only comprehensive quality standard for children's programs. This quality standard ensures your child's experience with sport and recreation are safe, unique and age appropriate. Parent & Tot Program

Looking for some fun with your little one? Our Parent & Tot Program is a physical activity program for toddlers and their parent(s)/guardian(s). These sessions provide young children with the opportunity to interact with other children, all while burning energy in a safe environment. Occurring each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., this free program resumes Monday, September 10, and runs until December 14. All children from newborn to five years of age are welcome.

 

Financial Assistance

The Town of Paradise helps provide opportunities to families who may be facing financial barriers. Please contact us if your child / children want to participate in community sports and recreation, but financial difficulties impeding their involvment. Contact the Recreation and Leisure Services at 709-782-6290.
