The Town of Paradise and Metrobus are partnering to offer a public transit pilot project for the Town. The service begins Monday, June 27, 2016.
The new Route 30 will operate weekdays during peak hours between the Paradise Double Ice Complex and the Avalon Mall in St. John's. The full route information is on the Metrobus website at www.metrobus.com/paradise or by calling 722-9400.
Metrobus operates with an exact cash fare policy - drivers do not carry change. Riders need the exact cash or m-Card. The m-Card is an interactive smart card used to pay transit fares when riding with Metrobus. It can be purchased at the Paradise Double Ice Complex, on-line or at various sales outlets.
If you ride the new Paradise route with a registered m-Card from June 27 to August 31, 2016 and you could win 5,000 AIR MILES reward miles* plus you could get 100 Bonus Miles** - every ride is a chance to win! For more details, visit metrobus.com/ridetoparadise.
The pilot project will run from June 2016 to June 2017 and will be based on user demand - if residents avail of the service and the passenger volumes are sufficient, the Town will explore continued investment in the service.
The St. John's Transportation Commission, operating as Metrobus, has been providing public transit services in St. John's, NL, since 1958. Metrobus operates 22 fixed-transit routes and services more than three million rides annually within the St. John's region
