Year-round the Town of Paradise hosts an array of events. Seasonal events are planned throughout the year which offer residents and visitors an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the community spirit of Paradise. The two main festivals for the Town are Snow and Ice, the annual Winter Carnival in Paradise held in February and SunSplash Paddle In Paradise, the summer celebration held annually in August.

Winter Events

Some of the great activities and events that we have comming up for winter 2019 include:

Snow & Ice in Paradise (February 1 - 10)
This year marks the 25th Annual Snow & Ice in Paradise Festival! All the fun starts on Friday, February 1 and will run through to Sunday, February 10. A complete update on events and activities will be on the Snow & Ice in Paradise page in the second week of January.

Here's a preview of the events and activities that we have planned!

Ticketed Events:

  • Comedy and Hypnosis Night: Come join us for an evening of laughs and amazement! This fun event features great comedians and a hypnotist show. 
  • Spirit of Newfoundland Dinner and Show: Don't miss the brand new Spirit of Newfoundland production "Dream a Little Dream of We", a tribute to the Mammas and the Pappas. Find out more here.
  • Indoor Family Fun Day: Look forward to this event that promisies to be a carnival atmosphere with fun stage entertainment, bouncers, face painting, games, concessions, prizes  and much more. Tickets available at the door.

50+ Adventure Club Anniversary Dinner & Dance (January 19)
This year marks the 32nd anniversary for the 50+ Adventure Club. On Saturday, January 19, become a member of the Club and join in for their annual Dinner and Dance. This dinner is a chance to celebrate the organization with Paradise Town Council, local MHA’s and other 50+ Clubs from around the Avalon. For more information, please call (709) 782-3838.

Those interested in joining the 50+ Adventure Club must be at least 50 years of age (when couples are involved only one person has to be 50+ for both to join). The fee for membership is $10 for each person, ($5 of which is forwarded to the Provincial organization to register you as a member of Newfoundland and Labrador Pensioners and Senior Citizens / 50 Plus Federation). 

St. Patricks Day Open Mic with the Paradise Lions Club (March 17)

Be sure to wear green on Saturday, March 17 for the St. Patrick’s Day Open Mic with the Paradise Lions Club. Come enjoy an evening of music and entertainment, as the stage opens up to performers of all skill levels. Don't miss this event for a chance to win some great prizes!

Municipal Awards (April 9)
The Municipal Awards provide us with a chance to formally recognize the accomplishments and talents of those who help to make Paradise the great community it is. This is the third year that the Municipal Awards will also recognizing the outstanding commitment of our business community. More exciting details about these awards will follow early in the New Year.
Brunch with the Easter Bunny (April 20)
Join the Easter Bunny for brunch at the Paradise Double Ice Complex on Saturday, April 20. There will be free bouncy castle rides, colouring stations, and great prizes to be won! Kings Photography will be available to offer photography and instant printing on site.

Time slots are as follows:

  • 8:40 to 10:00 a.m.
  • 10:10 to 11:30 a.m.
  • 11:40 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • 1:10 to 2:30 p.m.

This event costs $5 for adults and $3 for children. Tickets will be available for early purchase in April at the Paradise Double Ice Complex (cash, credit or debit are accepted).
