Something special in your community

Year-round the Town of Paradise hosts an array of events. Seasonal events are planned throughout the year which offer residents and visitors an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the community spirit of Paradise. The two main festivals for the Town are Snow and Ice, the annual Winter Carnival in Paradise held in February and SunSplash Paddle In Paradise, the summer celebration held annually in August.

 Terry Fox Run: September 17, 2:00 p.m.

Date: Sunday, September 17

Time: 2:00 p.m.

Location: Paradise Double Ice Complex 

Help support a great cause by getting your family, friends, or community group involved in the Paradise Terry Fox Run!

The Town hosts the Annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Registration starts at the Paradise Double Ice Complex at 1 p.m., with the run beginning 2 p.m. 

The run takes place around Octagon Pond, and is followed by refreshments and prize give-a-way back at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.

The Paradise District Girl Guides Haunted House

Date: Sunday, October 15

Time:

Children (6 and under): 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. 

Youth/Adults shows: 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.

Location: Paradise Double Ice Complex

Cost: $3/person or $5/family

Prepare to be scared! The Paradise District Girl Guides are hosting a Haunted House on October 15. With help from the 905 Viking Royal Canadian Air Cadets, this year's Haunted House in the Paradise Double Ice Complex is sure to be fun for all ages! There will be a time slot for children (4 - 6 p.m.) followed by a youth to adult time slot (7 - 10 p.m.). 

There will even be a photographer on hand to capture the fun and free hot chocolate for all!

Guy Fawkes Night

Date: Sunday, November 5

Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Location: Paradise Park

Join us for campfires as we roast wieners and marshmallows in celebration of Guy Fawkes Night. Free roasting sticks and hot chocolate are available for all families. Remembrance Day Ceremony

Date: Saturday, November 11

Time: 10:55 a.m.

Location: Paradise Town Hall

The 2017 Remembrance Day Ceremony is held at the War Memorial, in front of Town Hall. All are welcome to join us as we pay our respect to all soldiers who fought for our freedom.

In case of inclement weather the ceremony is moved inside to the Paradise Double Ice Complex at 1 Sarah Davis Way. To lay a wreath or get more information, please call 782-6290 or email

Paradise International Food Fest

Date: Sunday, November 19

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Location: Paradise Double Ice Complex

This expo includes 30 vendors serving food from around the world. It showcases and promotes cultural diversity in our communities through local and international food. Expect cuisine from many countries such as India, Syria, Nigeria, the Caribbean, Iran, Canada, China, Pakistan, Kenya, Ethiopia, Iraq, the Philippines, Lebanon, and more!
