Looking to get active this winter? The Town of Paradise offers several fitness programs! From beginner to advanced classes, we have a variety of options to help you get active.

Registration for winter classes opens 9:00 a.m. on January 4 and is available online only through the Town's Recreation Portal

We look forward to a fun and active season with classes beginning the week of January 8.

Spin Class
Time: Monday or Wednesday - 7:00 p.m.

Cost: $84 for one (1) 12 week time slot, or $8 per class (when space is available).

Spin Class is an effective workout that allows you to train in the offseason or for healthy living. Offering varied routines, spin class is suitable for all ability levels and is sure to burn calories.

Strength and Conditioning
Time: Monday or Wednesday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 1 (one) 12 week or $6 per class (when space is available).

Strength and Conditioning uses functional multi-joint movements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness making it a total body workout. This class also has multiple modified options for varying fitness levels.

 Reps and Resistance
Time: Thursday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Reps & Resistance uses a number of weight training exercises, sets, and resistances, separated by short intervals, to induce muscular contractions and build strength and endurance. When properly performed, strength training can provide significant functional benefits and improve overall health and well-being! Through a combination of different reps and sets you'll be sure to get a great workout while feeling the burn!

The Circuit
Time: Thursday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for one (1) 12 week time slot, or $6 per class (when space is available).

Circuit training is a fast-paced class that will increase your strength and aerobic fitness. Classes alternate between aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities that are completely adaptable to the individual.

Time: Monday or Wednesday - 7:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 1 (one) 12 week time slot or $6 per class (when space is available).

POUND is a mash-up of almost every exercise out there including, pilates, isometrics, plyometrics, and even a bit of dance, all done to some amazing tunes. It's  a fun, upbeat way to de-stress and leaves you feeling like a rock star.

Yoga Flow: Intermediate and Beginner
Time: Monday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $48 for one (1) 12 week time slot, or $5 per class (when space is available).

Stay limber longer! As time goes on, we tend to become more inflexible, eventually leading to many restrictions in our daily lives. This class focuses on maintaining and improving flexibility and stretching through a series of yoga movements. With adaptable moves and poses, Yoga Flow is suitable for beginners and experts alike.

Yoga Flow: Plus & Power
Time: Tuesday or Thursday - 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $48 for one (1) 12 week time slot, or $5 per class (when space is available).

Yoga Flow: Plus and Power or "gym yoga" is a body-focused class with fewer poses held for longer periods of time. The focus of this program is on building strength, increasing flexibility, and reducing stress.

Relaxation Lunch Time Yoga

Time: Wednesday - 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $48 for 12 week time slot or $5 per class (when space is available)

Brighten your mid-day with serenity. Take a break from your computer and the office to readjust with 40 minutes of gentle yoga stretching.

Lunchtime HIIT
Time: Monday or Thursday - 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $45 for 1(one) 12 week time slot or $5 per class (when space is available).

Busy or short on time? Lunchtime High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a popular class for people looking to combine strength and aerobic routines into one early workout. HITT is a 30 minute fun and fast-paced workout designed to help you break a sweat.

Core Fit
Time: Tuesday - 12:30 p.m.

           Saturday - 10:00 a.m.

Cost: $54 for 1(one) 12 week time slot, or $6 per class (when space is available).

A strong core is the vital ingredient to a strong body. This class will challenge you front to back and help to improve your coordination and balance with the use of  functional, balance, and body weight exercises resulting in a full-body workout with an emphasis on core exercises.


Time: Thursday - 9 a.m.

Cost: $60 for 1 (one) 12 week time slot, or $6 per class (when space is available).

Unlock your body-strength and flexibility. Essentrics is a dynamic workout that simultaneously lengthens and strengthens every muscle in the body, resulting in greater joint mobility and long, lean muscles. This full-body technique works through the muscle chains; liberating and empowering the muscles, relieving them from tension in the process.


Time: Tuesday or Thursday - 7:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Zumba Fitness® is a unique dance fitness program that takes its inspiration from Latin and International rhythms. It is designed to be easy to follow for all fitness levels, and does not require any dance experience. Zumba Fitness® is a great way to exercise, increase your cardiovascular fitness, sculpt your body, burn calories and have fun.

50+ High / Low Aerobics

Time: Monday - 9:30 a.m.

          Wednesday - 9:30 a.m.

Cost: $96 for 12 week time slot or $5 per class (when space is available).

High/Low Aerobics is designed to increase your heart rate and improve oxygenation throughout the body.  It combines traditional, low-impact aerobics with higher impact strength-training movements to create a comprehensive fitness routine that supports heart health and weight loss. Have fun while getting physically and mentally fit!

Mindful Yoga & Meditation at St. Thomas Community Centre

Time: Saturday - 9:00 a.m. 

Cost: $30 for 1 (one) 6 week time slot. Registration is available in full only. 

This 60 minute class leads participants through a healing and recuperative experience and provides physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Hatha-style yoga is an excellent opportunity to disconnect from the activity of daily life and slow down the pace. Moving slowly through poses in a steady and natural tempo allows you to focus on correct body alignment and posture. Each class ends with ten minutes of meditation to allow for full mind and body relaxation.

Walking Program
Those taking part in the Waist Management Program, or anyone else who wants to stay active this season, are invited to take place in the Town Walking Program. The Walking Program takes place on Thursdays from 7 - 8 p.m. at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre.
Waist Management
Join us for Waist Management! This new online six-week program focuses on helping participants achieve and maintain healthily weight loss. Waist Management teaches how to live a more active and less sedentary lifestyle. To achieve this, participants are provided with information on healthy eating throughout the day, portion control, meal and snack preparation, and how to get moving and stay active.

The Waist Management program also includes optional weekly weigh-ins, weekly challenges and fitness classes, and open gym walking each week.
