Fitness Programs

Looking to get active this fall? The Town of Paradise offers several fitness programs! From beginner to advanced classes, we have a variety of options to help you get active.

Registration for our Fall 2017 Fitness Programs opens September 5 at 9:00 a.m. and will be available online only through the Town's new Recreation Portal. Classes will begin during the week of Monday, September 11, 2017.

Spin Class

Time:    Monday or Wednesday - 7:00 p.m. &

             Tuesday or Thursday - 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $84 for 1 (one) 12 week or $8 per class (when space is available).

Spin Class is an effective workout that allows you to train in the offseason or for healthy living. Offering varied routines, spin class is a great workout suitable for all ability levels and is sure to burn calories.

Strength and Conditioning

Time: Monday or Wednesday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 1 (one) 12 week or $6 per class (when space is available).

Strength and Conditioning uses functional multi-joint movements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness making it a total body workout. This class also has multiple modified options for varying fitness levels.

Tabata Training
Time: Thursday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Tabata Training is one of the most popular forms of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). It consists of eight rounds of ultra-high-intensity exercises in 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off intervals. Paired with high energy music and a motivating atmosphere, you'll be sure to burn some calories and work up a sweat.

POUND

Time: Monday or Wednesday - 7:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 1 (one) 12 week time slot or $6 per class (when space is available).

POUND is a mash-up of almost every exercise out there including, pilates, isometrics, plyometrics, and even a bit of dance, all done to some amazing tunes. It's  a fun, upbeat way to de-stress and leaves you feeling like a rock star.

50+ High / Low Aerobics

Time: Monday and Wednesday - 9:00 a.m.

Cost: $96 for 12 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

Have fun while getting physical and mentally fit. High / Low aerobics is designed to increase your heart rate and improve oxygenation throughout the body. It combines traditional, low-impact aerobics movements with higher impact strength-training movements to create a comprehensive fitness routine that supports a heart health and weight loss. 

Relaxation Morning Yoga: Restorative & Beginner

Time: Saturday - 9:00 a.m.

Cost: $48 for 12 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

This class provides a healing and recuperative experience for those seeking physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Restorative yoga is an excellent opportunity to disconnect from stresses caused by daily life. Moving slowly through the poses allows you to explore your mind and body at a steady and natural tempo.

Lunch Time Yoga: Gentle Relaxation

Time: Wednesday - 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $48 for 12 week time slot or $5 per class (when space is available)

Brighten your mid-day with serenity. Take a break from your computer and the office to readjust with 40 minutes of gentle yoga stretching.

Yoga Flow: Intermediate and Beginner

Time:  Monday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $48 for 12 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

Stay limber longer. As time goes on we tend to become more inflexible, eventually leading to many restrictions in our lives. This class focuses on maintaining and improving flexibility while stretching through a series of yoga movements. With adaptable moves and poses, Yoga Flow is suitable for beginners and experts alike. 

Yoga Flow: Plus & Power

Time:  Tuesday or Thursday - 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $48 for 1 (one) 12 week or $5.00 per class (when space is available).

Plus & Power, also known as "gym yoga", is a body-focused class with fewer poses held for longer periods of time. The focus is on building strength, increasing flexibility, and reducing stress.

Yoga Flow PLUS: Master Class Intermediate

Time: Wednesday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $48 for 12 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

Moving through sequences from basic to complex, this master class will focus on maintaining breathing while working towards advanced postures. This style of yoga builds heat, flexibility and strength while helping to build good alignment and sound structure. 

Zumba®

Time: Tuesday or Thursday - 7:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Zumba Fitness® is a unique dance fitness program that takes its inspiration from Latin and International rhythms. It is designed to be easy to follow for all fitness levels, and does not require any dance experience. Zumba Fitness® is a great way to exercise, increase your cardiovascular fitness, sculpt your body, burn calories and have fun.

Lunch Time HIIT

Time: Monday or Thursday - 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $45 for 1 (one) 12 week time slot or $5 per class (when space is available).

Busy or short on time? Lunch Time HIIT is a popular class for people who want to combine a strength and aerobic routine into one workout session. A 30-45 minute, fun and fast- paced workout to help break a sweat when short on time or during your dinner break.

The Circuit

Time: Tuesday - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Circuit training is a fast-paced class that increases your strength and aerobic fitness as you burn calories. Classes alternate from aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities that are completely adaptable to the individual.

Essentrics *NEW*

Time: Thursday - 9:00 a.m.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Unlock your body-strength and flexibility. Essentrics is a dynamic workout that simultaneously lengthens and strengthens every muscle in the body, resulting in a greater joint mobility and long lean muscles. This full-body technique works through muscle chains, liberating and empowering muscles to relieve them from tension in the process.

On the Ball-Core Fit *NEW*

Time: Saturday - 10:00 a.m.

Cost: $54 for 12 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

A strong core is vital to a strong body. This class challenges and helps to improve your coordination and balance with the use of stability ball, balance, and body weight exercises. This is a full-body workout with an emphasis on core exercises.

  •  Visit our  Recreation Portal. If you already have an account, proceed to the "Logon to Account" button.
  • If you have not created an account, it is suggested that you do so before the morning of registration. To create an account, under Course Registration click the "Create Account" button on the homepage.
  • Please note the time on our computer's server may differ slightly from your computer time (e.g. time may say 8:58 a.m. and your computer may say 9:01 a.m.) so please be patient. There will be no walk-in registration. Classes will begin the week of September 11.
