Looking to get active? The Town of Paradise offers several fitness programs! From beginner to advanced classes, we have a variety of options to help you get active.

Summer Classes

Registration for our summer classes opens at 9:00 a.m., Monday, June 11 and is available online only through the Town's Recreation Portal. Classes begin the week of June 18.

POUND

Time: Wednesday – 6 p.m.

Cost: $40 for 8 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

POUND is a mash-up of almost every exercise out there including Pilates, isometrics, plyometrics, and even a bit of dance, all done to some great tunes. It’s fun, upbeat, and a great way to de-stress

 Shine Dance Fitness *NEW*

Time: Monday - 7:00 p.m.

Cost: $32 for the session or $5 per class.

SHiNE™ is a new modern dance fitness class rooted in traditional jazz, hip-hop, and ballet. It takes foundational dance moves and creates routines that are easy enough for beginners yet challenging enough for the more seasoned dancer. The simplicity of the routines allows you to keep moving and think less. Because you keep moving, this class provides a great workout in a dance party atmosphere. This class is exclusive to the Town of Paradise and features some outdoor classes, weather permitting.

Yoga Flow by the Pond

Time: Monday & Thursday – 6 p.m.

Cost: $32 for 8 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

Come enjoy a beautiful view of Octagon Pond while doing Yoga Flow. This class focuses on maintaining and improving flexibility and stretching through a series of yoga exercise movements. Yoga flow exercises are presented from beginner to advanced levels.

Zumba

Time: Tuesday – 7 p.m.

Cost: $40 for 8 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Zumba Fitness® is a unique dance fitness program that takes its inspiration from Latin and International rhythms. It’s a great way to exercise, increase your cardiovascular fitness, sculpt your body, burn calories and have fun.

       

Spring Classes

Our Spring Fitness Classes begin the week of April 16. 

50+ High/Low Aerobics

Time: Monday & Wednesday – 9:30 a.m.

Cost: $64 for 8 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

Have fun while getting physically and mentally fit! 50+ High/Low Aerobics offer a variety of exercises that will enhance your daily activities.

Spin Class

Time: Monday & Wednesday – 7 p.m.

Cost: $56 for 8 weeks or $8 per class (when space is available).

Spin Class is an effective workout that allows you to train in the offseason or for healthy living. Offering varied routines, spin class is suitable for all ability levels and is sure to burn calories.

Cost: $40 for one 8 week time slot or $6 per class (when space is available).

Mindful Yoga & Meditation at St. Thomas Community Centre

Time: Saturday - 9 a.m.

Cost: $30 for 1 (one) 6 week time slot. Registration is available in full only.

This class provides a healing and recuperative experience and physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Hatha-style yoga is an excellent opportunity to disconnect from the activity of daily life and slow down. Moving through poses in a steady and natural tempo allows you to focus on correct body alignment and posture.

Core Fit

Time: Tuesday - 12:30 p.m.

           Saturday - 10 a.m.

Cost: $40 for 1 (one) 8 week time slot, or $6 per class (when space is available).

A strong core is the vital ingredient to a strong body. This class will challenge you front to back and help to improve your coordination and balance with the use of  functional, balance, and body weight exercises resulting in a full-body workout with an emphasis on core exercises. 

Yoga Flow: Intermediate and Beginner

Time: Monday – 6 p.m.

Cost: $32 for 8 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

Stay limber longer! As time goes on, we tend to become more inflexible, eventually leading to many restrictions in our daily lives. This class focuses on maintaining and improving flexibility and stretching through a series of yoga movements. With adaptable moves and poses, Yoga Flow is suitable for beginners and experts alike.

Yoga Flow Plus and Power

Time: Tuesday or Thursday – 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $32 for 8 weeks or $5 per class (when space is available).

Pilates-based exercises with yoga flow stretching. Want a stronger core? Yoga can offer balance and help build muscular strength and endurance where you need it the most.

Zumba

Time: Tuesday – 7 p.m.

Cost: $40 for 8 weeks or $6 per class (when space is available).

Zumba Fitness® is a unique dance fitness program that takes its inspiration from Latin and International rhythms. It is designed to be easy to follow for all fitness levels, and does not require any dance experience. Zumba Fitness® is a great way to exercise, increase your cardiovascular fitness, sculpt your body, burn calories and have fun.

  •  Visit our  Recreation Portal. If you already have an account, proceed to the "Logon to Account" button.

  • If you have not created an account, it is suggested that you do so before the morning of registration. To create an account, under Course Registration click the "Create Account" button on the homepage.
  • Please note the time on our computer's server may differ slightly from your computer time (e.g. time may say 8:58 a.m. and your computer may say 9:01 a.m.) so please be patient.

  • Platinum Membership: The Platinum Membership is a 1-year pass that includes both a 1 year Gold Fitness Center membership + 1 year unlimited priority registration for all  fitness classes. Platinum memberships are avaiable online only. Limited quantities available. 

  • Unlimited Class Pass: The Unlimited Class pass gives access to 1-year unlimited priority registration for all fitness classes. Class Passes are avaiable online only. Limited quantities available.
