Looking to get active? The Town of Paradise offers an array of fitness programs, from beginner to advanced classes, we have a variety of options to help you get active this Winter!

Registration for Winter 2017 Fitness Classes opens on January 9, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and will be available online only through eServices. Classes will begin during the week of January 16, 2017.

  • If you do not yet have an eServices account and you are a Paradise Resident, you will need a Sign-Up Key. Please contact the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services at 782-6290 or email to obtain your Sign-Up Key.

 Winter 2017 Fitness Classes

50+ High/Low Aerobics

Have fun while getting physically and mentally fit! 50+ High/Low Aerobics offers a variety of exercises that will enhance your daily living activities.

Cost: $96 for 12 weeks, or $5 per class (when space is available).

Time: Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

Lunchtime HITT

Get your workout in early! Using High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), you can build up a sweat in a shorter amount of time. With intense bursts of exercise paired with short recovery periods, your heart rate will soar and stay that way all day. This style of training can be accommodated for all fitness levels, and participants are encouraged to push themselves to a level that they are comfortable with.

Cost: $45.00 for one 12-week time slot, or $5.00 per class (when space is available).

Time: Monday & Friday -12:30 p.m. 

POUND

POUND is a mash up of almost every exercise out there; pilates, isometrics, plyometrics, and even a bit of  dance, all  done  to  some AMAZING tunes. It's fun, upbeat, a great way to de-stress and will leave you feeling like a rockstar!

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks, or $6 per class (when space is available).

Time: Monday & Wednesday - 7:00p.m.

Relaxation Lunch Time Yoga

Brighten your mid-day with serenity. Take a break from your computer and the office to recharge with 40 minutes of gentle yoga stretching.

Cost: $48 for 12 weeks, or $5 per class (when space is available).

Time: Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

Saturday Morning Yoga

Start your weekend off right with a relaxing yoga class, bright and early!  

Cost: $48 for 12 weeks, or $ 5 per class (when space is available).

Time: Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Spin Class

Spin Class is an effective workout that allows you to train in the offseason or for healthy living. Offering varied routines, spin class is a great workout suitable for all ability levels and is sure to burn calories.

Cost: $84 for one 12 weeks, or $8 per class (when space is available, up to a maximum of three classes).

Time: Monday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  +  Tuesday & Thursday - 12:30 p.m.

Strength & Conditioning

Strength and Conditioning uses functional multi-joint movements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, making it a total body workout. This class also has multiple modified options for varying fitness levels.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks, or $6 per class (when space is available).

Time: Monday & Wednesday - 6:00p.m.

Tabata Training

Tabata Training is a form of high-intensity interval training which follows a specific format of exercise and rest that will improve one's aerobic and anaerobic fitness.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks, or $6 per class (when space is available).

Time: Tuesday-6:00p.m. and Thursday - 5:30 p.m. 

Yoga Flow

Stay limber longer! As time goes on, we tend to become more inflexible, eventually leading to many restrictions in our daily lives. This class focuses on maintaining and improving flexibility and stretching through a series of yoga movements. With adaptable moves and poses, Yoga Flow is suitable for beginners and experts alike.

Cost: $48 for one 12 weeks, or $5 per class (when space is available, up to a maximum of three classes each 12 weeks).

Time: Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Yoga Flow Plus

Pilates-based exercises with yoga flow stretching. Want a stronger core and a tighter tummy? Yoga-lates can offer balance and help build muscular strength and endurance where you need it the most.

Cost: $48 for one (1) 12 week time slot, or $5 per class (when space is available).

Time: Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Youth Fitness Program

Interested in expanding your fitness knowledge? Join our Fitness Attendant to learn about proper gym etiquette and techniques for various exercises. 

Cost: $2 per drop-in (or free to those with a Youth Programming Membership)

Time: Wednesday to Sunday

Zumba

Zumba Fitness is a unique dance fitness program that takes its inspiration from Latin and International rhythms. Created more than 10 years ago by Colombian Fitness Instructor and choreographer Alberto  "Beto"   Perez,   Zumba  Fitness has  become  the  world's  largest  and most  successful  dance  fitness  craze.

With over 14 million people around the world taking part in this fitness party every week in more than 150 countries, Zumba Fitness is designed to be easy to follow, for all fitness levels and does not require any dance experience. Zumba Fitness is a great way to exercise, increase your cardiovascular fitness, sculpt your body, burn calories and have lots of fun in every class.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks, or $6.00 per class (when space is available)

Time: Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Zumba Kids

Bring the kids for a fun active morning of dance fitness. Taught by an experienced, certified trainer, Zumba Kids emphasizes coordination and development of motor skills, while offering a fun aerobic activity.

Cost: $48 for 12 weeks, or $5 per class (when space is available)

Time: Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Zumba Toning

Perfect for those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles.

How it works: The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba® Toning Sticks (or light weights) helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged.

Benefits: Lightweight maraca-like Toning Sticks enhance sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.

Cost: $60 for 12 weeks, or $6 per class (when space is available)

Time: Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
