After School Program 2017

Come join our After School Program (ASP); the program is designed to let kids, be just that, kids!

** Registration Notice**

The Town has a new system for online registration. Please read instructions carefully when completing online registration.

  • Registration runs Monday, June 5, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (or once all spaces have been filled).
  • Registration is available online only through the Town's Recreation Portal.
  • For your convenience, Town of Paradise Recreation Portal provides the ability to register and pay. 
  • Options are available to pay for the full amount of the program online, or pay later. Please ensure that you select the correct payment method before proceeding to the checkout. Note that once a payment method is selected, you may not be given the opportunity to go back and choose a different payment method. This could result in the loss of your space.

Registration Instructions

  •  Visit our  Recreation Portal. If you already have an account, proceed to the "Logon to Account" button. 
  • If you have not created an account, it is suggested that you do so before the morning of registration. To create an account, under Course Registration click the "Create Account" button on the homepage.
  • To register for the After School Program you must create a "Group Member Account". Next, ensure that you enter YOURSELF as the billing contact and that you add each additional child as group members.
  • Please note that it is important that you have an additional account created under your account (Group Member) for your child before the morning of registration. When registering, click on your child as the participant registering and that you are not registering yourself for the program.

The After School Program is for children from ages 4 to 12 years old. Children must be currently enrolled in kindergarten.

Cost and Payment

The total program cost from September to June is $1000. The three available methods of payment are:

Online - Full payment 

Paradise Recreation Public Access accepts full online payment of fees by Visa and MasterCard.** Interac online is not available.

In Person - Full payment

Full payment is accepted at the Recreation Reception Desk at the Paradise Double Ice Complex by cash, debit or cheque.  Payment will be required within 72 hours of registration to secure your space in the program.

Post-dated cheques (Pay Later Option)

Postdated cheques will be accepted in five payments to cover the full amount owing. Cheques must be received at the Recreation Reception Desk at the Paradise Double Ice Complex within 72 hours of registration to secure your space in the program.

If you are unable to pay the full amount by Monday, June 5, you will be required to pay a 20% "deposit" ($200) PER CHILD of the full registration amount ($1000/child) by Monday, June 5 in person. (This means that if you have multiple children, 20% of their combined registration cost). You may then pay the remainder of the program cost with post-dated cheques.

Post-dated cheques are to be dated for the LAST FRIDAY of each month for the indicated dates (see dates below). The cheques do not have to be even, nor do you need to have to have a cheque for each month. (ex. Pay $200 deposit on Monday, June 5then post-date a cheque for Friday, June 23 $200, August 25 $200, September 22 $200 and October 20 $200).

 The Posted-dated dates are as follows:

  • June 23, 2017
  • July 21, 2017
  • August 25, 2017
  • September 22, 2017
  • October 20, 2017
We offer early drop-off at 2:30 p.m. and late pick-up at 5:30 p.m.
Special Notices
  • MCP # will be required at the time of registration.
  • Registration will be on a first come basis.
  • Due to limited space, each individual may only register one family's child/children.
  • Please inform us at the time of registration of any special needs or allergies that your child may have. 
  • Refunds will only be given for medical reasons with a doctor's note provided.
  • Children are required to bring their own snacks.
  • We are not responsible for any lost, stolen or broken items.
  • All participants MUST be signed in and out of the program each day by those adults identified and listed on the participant information form.
