Town of Paradise Makes Strategic Investments and Maintains Mil Rates With Balanced 2020 Budget  
December 3, 2019 – Paradise, NL - The 2020 Budget for the Town of Paradise was tabled at the Public Council Meeting, December 3, 2019. The $37.9 million balanced budget focuses on making strategic investments in key initiatives while maintaining the Town’s current level of programs and services,  all with no impact to residential or commercial mil rates.

The 2020 Budget for the Town of Paradise will be presented during the regular public council meeting on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. with the budget being delivered at approximately 6:05 p.m. The budget presentation will also be available through Facebook Live.

At tonight's (November 19) Public Council Meeting, Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Laurie, Chair of the Corporate Services Committee, provided an update on the costs of the repairs to the Lift Station on the corner of Topsail Road and St. Thomas Line. An equipment malfunction occurred at the Lift Station on August 12, and as the volume at that lift station is the largest in Town, crews worked to keep the essential service operating for residents while repair work was completed.

The Town of Paradise is advising motorists to expect delays Westbound on Topsail Road on the commute home this afternoon, (Friday, November 15).
Line Painting is underway on Topsail Road West between the overpass and intersection of Carlisle Drive and Topsail Road (in front of McDonalds). This work supports lane configuration changes for the Kenmount Road exit ramp onto Topsail Road West which came into effect on Tuesday, November 12.
