At the Town of Paradise, we understand that family comes first. That's why we offer a wide range of community programs and services.

In this section, you will find information on our current senior services and programs. Online registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14 and is available online through the Town’s Recreation Portal or by walk-in at the Paradise Double Ice Complex. Seniors have the option to pay $75 per year as a membership fee for all three programs (Shuffle board, Bowling and Bean Bag). For more information, please contact the Child and Family Services Recreation Technician at (709) 782-6290 or email.

Here is what is going on for winter, 2019:

Adult Walking Program

Our Adult Walking program is moving outdoors for the summer! We are challenging you to “Trot Newfoundland with TOP!” Join our Recreation Workers in tracking our kilometres as we enjoy Paradise's Octagon Pond, Neil’s Pond and Paradise Park trails.  At the end of each walk, our kms will be recorded and indicated on a map of Newfoundland in the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre as part of a virtual trek across the province. Get to know your fellow participants while taking part in some light physical activity and then celebrate your success with them at the social held at the end of the program.

Interested participants are welcomed to join the group at the following locations:

Monday - Octagon Pond (meet at Paradise Park concession stand)
Wednesday - Neil’s Pond (meet at trail entrance by Sobeys Parking Lot)
Friday - Paradise Park trails (meet at Paradise Park concession stand)

No registration required; join us when you can!

Program runs July 22 - August 30; 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
