Venture "into the unknown" at Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park for Frozen Finds - a hidden word scramble. Throughout the trails at the park, there are letters hidden. Stroll along, find the all the letters, and use them to create a phrase. While you're looking for the letters, be sure to look for your favourite characters from the movie Frozen. When you unscramble the phrase, take a picture with the character who said it to enter for a chance to win prizes. 

To enter the Frozen Finds prize draw, email recreation [at] paradise [dot] ca, with the subject line "Frozen Finds"; please include your name, and daytime phone number. Entries must be received by February 28.

For select nights in February, we'll have Snow and Ice Lights at Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park. Festive lights are twinkling along a section of the trail to create a walking loop for residents of all ages. The walking loop starts at the parking lot, goes down to the beach and back along the playground to return to the parking area.  There are also characters from the the Disney movie Frozen so as you enjoy a stroll on the trail, be sure to look for Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf and at the beach area this an area for pictures.

Weather permitting the lights will be on February 14,15, 26 and 27, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

It is an outdoor event, so residents are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather. Parking is available in the main parking area; washrooms will be open in the main building (located near the baseball fields).

UPDATE February 11: Unfortunately we have to POSTPONE Snowga. The ground conditions at Paradise Park are currently not suitable for a Yoga session. Stay tuned - we are planning for another date and will announce the details as soon as plans are finalized.

Snowga - it's Yoga in the Snow (see what we did there!). Join us for some Snow and Ice outdoor fun at Paradise Park with a Yoga class. The class admission is $5 per person and advance registration is required.

Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park is the place to be on Saturday, February 26 with Winter Survival Demonstrations AND Family Race Day!

Join the Canadian Armed Forces at Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park for demonstrations on winter survival. They will provide techniques on shelter building, how to build a fire, and how to keep warm in winter.

Date and Time: Saturday, February 26, 11:00 am  - 4:00 p.m.

Join us at Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park for some friendly competition with Snow & Ice Family Race Day. For the event, families can try snowshoe races, winter sliding and a snowball challenge. There are prizes throughout the day.

Join us for Snow & Ice Day in Paradise Park. We'll have entertainment, the sliding hill will be open, there will be fire pits available and winter activities! Plus, there will be also be prize draws throughout the afternoon. It's a bring your own hot chocolate and snacks event (to keep with current public health guidelines).

Think you know everything about the Magical World of Disney? Now is your chance to put that knowledge to that test with the Snow and Ice Disney-themed Trivia Night! Play against other families in Paradise for a chance to win prizes. Registration is required, the event is free.

Location: Online via Zoom

Time: 7:00 p.m.  (Zoom event opens at 6:50 p.m.)

There is a limit of 75 participants for this Zoom event, so families are encouraged to register as a group.

Grab your dabbers and join us for Snow and Ice Valentine's Drive-in Bingo! This is an all-ages family event that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own vehicle. (Note: All vehicles must enter via Sarah Davis Way.)

Admission: $5 per card (maximum 6 cards per registrant)
