About the Complex

Offering two NHL-sized ice surfaces, a 4000 square foot fully-accessible fitness centre, a full service canteen, a multi-purpose room, office space and meeting areas, the Paradise Double Ice Complex is the Town's recreational cornerstone. The Complex is home to a variety of Town and community events and programs, as well as provides a wide array of usage opportunities to organizations, groups and individuals. The Paradise Double Ice Complex also acts as the main entrance to the Paradise Rotary Youth and Community Centre.

Hours of Operation: 

Paradise Double Ice Complex:

Sunday - Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m 
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 6 a.m. - 10:30 p.m 
Wednesday & Friday: 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Body Quest Fitness Centre:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (last booking available at 9 p.m.)
Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. (last booking available at 7 p.m.)


In addition to a wide variety of Town offered events and activities, the Paradise Double Ice  Complex  is  also  the  host  location  for  the Avalon  Sled  Dogs,  the  Easter  Seals, the Tom Cats Women's Hockey League and the  Paradise  Men's  Recreation  League. The Mount Pearl/Paradise Skating Club and the Conception Bay Regional Minor Hockey Association also offer  programs at the Complex.

Community Use Opportunities

Offering a supportive environment with many amenities, the Paradise Double Ice Complex provides an ideal location for school, business, community, and organizational programs, services, and events. It truly has something for everyone!

Below is a list of some programs, services, and events that may be of interest:

  • Recreational skating - Host a special skating event or attend a regularly scheduled skating session.
  • Athletic programs - Use the ice surface, fitness centre and/or the multipurpose rooms.
  • Recreational programs, socials, and events - Use the multipurpose rooms and the kitchen area.
  • Professional development days, conferences, and workshops - Host an event or meeting within any amenity at the Complex.

With support from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), we have recently purchased pipe and drapery, and floor covering for the ice rinks. This covering gives us with the ability to transform the rinks into host locations for a variety of large scale events year-round.

Ice Party Rentals

Did you know that we offer Ice Party Rentals? Celebrate your birthday on our ice!

 Ice Party bookings are available on Saturdays at the following times:

  • Ice time from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Multipurpose Room time from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Ice time from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Multipurpose Room time from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cost for an Ice Party booking is $180 per hour for ice time, and $50 per hour for Multipurpose Room use (taxes included).

Ice Rental Rates

Looking to book the ice to host a private event other than a birthday party? We've got you covered.

Minor/Community  Groups:

  • Weekdays and weekends: $150 per hour.

Senior Groups/Private Rentals:

  • Weekdays: $200 per hour.
  • Weekends: $200 per hour.

Other times: $180 per hour.

Last year the Paradise Double Ice Complex provided sponsorship opportunities to a number of businesses. You too can advertise your business at our facility!
