Due to the forecast for tonight (July 2), we are not able to have our postponed Canada Day Fireworks. But, we're going to add them to SunSplash Paddle in Paradise fireworks display planned for August!


Update- July 1, 2019 9:30 a.m.

The Memorial Day Ceremony is taking place outside this morning at the War Memorial, Town Hall.

The Canada Day Celebrations start at 2 p.m. this afternoon and are moved inside to the Paradise Double Ice Complex in the Hedley Blunden Gymnasium. (Note: The only change to the schedule is that the beer tent will now open at 6:00 p.m.)

A decision on the fireworks will be made later this evening, based on the weather conditions and an update will be posted.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Date: Monday, July 1

Time: 10:55 a.m.

Location: War Memorial, Town Hall

The day begins with flag raising and wreath laying ceremonies in honour of the sacrifices of our Newfoundland soldiers at Beaumount Hamel during the Battle of the Somme of the First World War.

Our special Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at Town Hall War Memorial, starting at 10:55 a.m. Please join us as we pay our respects for all fallen soldiers, and commemorate our veterans. To lay a wreath or for more information during the ceremony, please call 709-782-6290, or email.

Canada Day Celebration

The Town of Paradise is proud to host its Annual Canada Day Celebrations. Come out and join in the fun with a full day of free activities! The fun begins in the afternoon with a great offering of activities including a free BBQ, large bouncy castle rides, and face painting, courtesy of Pixy Mama.

Thomas Amusements will also be on site (admission will be charged for rides). There will be an all-day entertainment and evening concert at the new bandstand in Paradise Park. The Kin Club Beer /Alcohol area will open at 2 p.m. The celebration ends at 10:00 p.m. with the closing fireworks.
