Patrick Martin was first elected to council in 2013 and re-elected in September 2017.  Patrick and his wife Christine are formerly from the Burin Peninsula and decided 14 years ago Paradise was the perfect town to raise a family.  It was here they welcomed four children; oldest Patrick, twins Spencer & Sarah, and the youngest Lance.

With a housefull of active children Patrick has many connections within the community.  For eight years he has been a Leader with Scouts Canada, with both Beavers & Cubs. He has also coached minor hockey for the past three years.

Two of Patrick and Christine's boys have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, and Patrick has stepped up to be an advocate for his boys as well as all children on the spectrum.  He participates in the annual Motocycle Ride for Autism and as a family the Martin's participate in the annual Walk For Autism, both fundraising for our local Autism Society.

During his term Patrick has acted as Co chair to the Planning Committee, sat on the North East Avalon Joint Council, and the Youth Advisory Committee.  Patrick is dedicated to creating a fully inclusive community for all residents.
