The Town of Paradise advises that Town Hall in-person services including tax payments, permit payments and pick-ups, application drop-offs, and other matters will not be available on Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9 as staff are relocating to new office space. The main phone line 709.782.1400 and general email info@paradise.ca will be monitored, and staff are responding to all inquiries. Please note it may take longer than usual to respond, but staff will get to all messages.

Effective Monday, May 12, Town Hall services will be available from 1655 Topsail Road. It is expected that the remediation and repair work following the fire at the Depot will take approximately a year to complete. Town Hall services will be available from the temporary location while the restoration work is underway.

There is no impact to the services, programs and operations at the Paradise Double Ice Complex and all recreation programming is proceeding as scheduled. image
Our MEO’s number one priority is community safety and a big part of that is educating our residents. ✔️

Municipal Enforcement Officer Wiseman stopped by Paradise Intermediate to talk to grade 9s all about off-road vehicle (ORV) safety and regulations. We were thrilled to chat to approximately 180 students about how to operate an off-road vehicle safely and the laws that follow.

We’d also like to give a reminder that youth under the age of 16 are required to complete off-road vehicle training and must be supervised at all times. To learn more about this training, visit https://www.gov.nl.ca/motorregistration/vehicle-ownership/atv-safety/#training

This presentation is part of the Town’s Outreach Program to try and reduce illegal off-road vehicle activity. We want to ensure our community is safe for everyone, on and off ORVs. image
Hey Paradise—let's get cleaning! 🌿

For the whole month of May, the Department of Recreation and Community Services is handing out gloves and bags to individuals, organizations, and businesses who want to lend a helping hand to keep our Town clean and green.

To register, simply email recreation@paradise.ca where and when you’d like to get started and we’ll let you know all the details. We’ll also have some sweet prizes to give away!

It takes a special kind of person to be a volunteer. 💙

They are selfless, dedicated, and passionate about their causes and are always willing to lend a helping hand. We’re pleased to present the final group of awards to well-deserving individuals and community groups.

Congratulations and thank you for all that you do! 👏 image
