Through the simple process of pulling loops of fabric through a foundation, participants will learn the fundamentals of rug hooking while enjoying a relaxing, creative activity that supports overall personal wellness.
Guided by an experienced instructor from Hooked Creations NL, participants will learn the fundamentals of traditional Newfoundland rug hooking in a welcoming, hands-on environment. Participants will create their own traditional floor mat while exploring pattern design, colour selection, loop-pulling techniques, and finishing methods. No previous experience is required. Registration is required for $150 per person and opens on September 22 at 1:00 p.m. All supplies are included.Ā
