Councillor Tommy Maher

Tommy Maher, who was newly elected to council in April 2024, has been a resident of the Town of Paradise for the last two decades, where he moved from Freshwater, NL, to expand his business. Specializing in excavation, Tommy has broken ground for over 600 new homes in the Town, each a testament to his dedication and passion for his profession. With his extensive experience in construction, infrastructure, and in-depth knowledge of the Paradise area, he is ready to take on any challenges that may come his way.

You are likely to see Tommy on the trails in his side by side enjoying the outdoors with family, buzzing around town in his antique auto, perhaps attending a car show or special event, or operating heavy equipment somewhere within our ever-growing community.

Councillor Maher is grateful and eager to finally be able to contribute back to his community in a meaningful way while serving on the Planning and Protective Services Committee and Administration and Corporate Services Committee.
