To support the Town’s snow clearing work, effective midnight tonight (February 24), a 24 hour parking ban will be in place. No cars are permitted to park on any Town roads during this time. Any cars parked on Town roads will be ticketed and / or towed. The 24 hour parking ban will be reviewed as snow clearing work progresses, and the Town will provide an update when it is lifted.

As of 4 PM today, the majority of streets in Paradise in Paradise have received a first pass in snow clearing which is one cut to give a single lane on the road. Some areas in the St. Thomas Line area are not yet done and crews are currently doing the first pass on those streets.
Crews are now starting push back of snow, and that needs to be done first before crews can start street widening with the large blowers. Once we start street widening, we will be trucking the snow away.

Our crews worked throughout the day to address the significant snowfall we’ve had in Paradise.
We have equipment out in all routes and our crews are working 24/7 this weekend. Main roads such as Topsail Road, Kenmount Road and St. Thomas Line are cleared and passable. Crews are working on side and collector roads, and by late-morning on Monday, we expect to have made one cut (a single lane) in all areas. Due to the forecast and significant snowfall amounts, all Town facilities, including the Town Hall and Paradise Double Ice Complex, are closed for the full day on Monday, February 23, 2026. This will help reduce traffic and support the Town’s snow clearing work.

In the last five days, over 120 cm of snow has fallen in Paradise and more is expected throughout this evening and tonight.
Our crews and equipment are out. With the snow continuing to accumulate and the current high winds, our operators are facing white out conditions at times, and their safety is our top concern. At this time, crews are working to keep the main roads (Topsail Road, St. Thomas Line, and Kenmount Road) passable.
