Town Facilities Closed for the Day - February 2, 2026

Due to the forecast, all Town facilities, including the Town Hall and Paradise Double Ice Complex, are closed for the full day on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Town of Paradise Budget 2026 – Listening to Our Community

The Town of Paradise 2026 Budget was presented during a special Public Council Meeting on January 29, 2026. The $52 million balanced budget maintains the residential and commercial mil rates, at 7.4 and 11.5 respectively, and there are no changes to the water and sewer rates. There is a significant increase in Budget 2026 over previous years and that is due in large part to insurance proceeds of approximately $4 million.

Town Update: Electricity Conservation Measures - January 24, 2026

In response to the Newfoundland Labrador Hydro Power Warning issued on January 24, the Town of Paradise is implementing the following measures effective immediately to help conserve our electricity use:

• heating will be reduced and lighting levels will be lowered at the Paradise Double Ice Complex; users are asked to dress warmer if visiting the facility over the weekend
• the lights for the sliding hill in Paradise Park will be turned off for the evening
