Community Garden Review - Feedback Due November 25, 2022 |
The Town of Paradise operated its first Community Garden this summer. It was located on Lanark Drive (next to the playground) and had 18 plots available, including accessible beds, which were available at no cost to residents. Throughout the summer, gardeners tended to their plots and at the end of the growing season, harvested a wide selection of vegetables including potatoes, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, and cauliflower. The Community Garden was a designated a pilot project, and now that it has concluded for the season we are now looking for your feedback. Please send us an email and tell us about your experience with the Community Garden; comments must be received by November 25, 2022. |
Proposed Community Boat House |
The Town has acquired the property located at 1717 Topsail Road and is proposing to make the site a Community Boat House for Octagon Pond. The Town’s Recreation and Open Space Master Plan identified the potential for water activities and a Community Boat House, which would also offer storage to the Avalon Dragons for their paddle boat program, for Octagon Pond. The Town looks forward to working with the Avalon Dragons on this project. As part of the planning for the proposed Community Boat House, the Town is seeking input from residents and community groups on the types of amenities to bring to the area. Suggestions, comments and ideas can be submitted via email. Updates on the Community Boat House project will be provided on the Town website and social media. |
