Day Camp Supervisor |
We are looking for highly motivated and well-organized people with strong leadership skills to supervise the Town’s Summer Day Camp programs (Caboodle, Wahoo, and Excursion). The Day Camp Supervisor helps to enhance the programs with challenging, fun ideas to meet the needs of the children. Responsibilities include supervision and scheduling of staff, organizing theme days as well as requesting and acquiring of inventory and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6 months)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
- High Five® Principles of Healthy Child Development
- Two years’ leadership experience
- Two years’ experience working in a summer program
- Two years’ post-secondary education in a field related to children / youth issues, needs, or development (ex. recreation, physical education, education, early childhood education, social work, nursing)
- Experience / training in planning and coordinating programming for children / youth in a group setting
- Experience in training, supervision, and evaluation of staff, program planning, and experience instructing various sports activities, crafts, and games
Period of Employment: June 2 – August 22, 2025
Rate of Pay: $18.00/hour (40 hours/week) (flex-time will be required)

Day Camp Head Counsellor

We are looking for energetic people who enjoy working with children between the ages of 6 and 12 years. Duties include: outlining and implementing activities in conjunction with supervisors, overseeing day-camp councillors, enhancing program content through new ideas, strong sense of safety awareness, good oral communication and customer service skills, and cleaning of work area.
Qualifications:
- Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6 months)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
- High Five® Principles of Healthy Child Development
- Experience working in a summer program
- Post-secondary education in a field related to children / youth issues, needs, or development would be an asset (ex. recreation, physical education, education, early childhood education, social work, nursing)
- Experience working with children in an inclusive setting
Period of employment: June 16 – August 22, 2025
Rate of Pay: $17.00/hour (40 hours/week) (flex-time will be required)

Rate of Pay: $16.00/hour (Full-Time - 40 hours/week, Part-Time – 10-15 hours/week) (flex-time will be required)

Inclusion Counsellors |
We are looking for energetic people who are interested in working with small groups of children who require extra attention. Duties include: working as a team member with day-camp counselors and supervisors but providing a level of 1:1 care for children with special needs and a focus on an inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
- Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6 months)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
- High Five® Principles of Healthy Child Development
- Experience working in a summer program
- Post-secondary education in a field related to children / youth issues, needs, or development would be an asset (ex. recreation, physical education, education, early childhood education, social work, nursing)
- Experience working with children in an inclusive setting
