Youth Week

Calling students of Paradise Intermediate! Show off your skills at our Lunchtime Games Week! From May 1 to 7 we'll be hosting a series of minute-to-win-it games in our Youth Centre. Where you could win gift cards to your favourite lunch time locations. All you have to do is show up to our youth center during your lunch break and participate in our Minute-To-Win-It games for a chance to win.

To celebrate youth week we are partnering up with Avalon Karate to introduce youth ages 6-10 to some of the basics when it comes to karate! Join us for an hour of fun and learning from NL’s largest and longest established school of martial arts!

🙅 Self Defence With Avalon Karate - Saturday, May 3

To celebrate youth week we are partnering up with Avalon Karate to deliver a session on self defence for youth ages 11-15. Join us for an informative session from NL’s largest and longest established school of martial arts.

🕹 Youth Gaming Carnival with Sandbox Gaming - Saturday, May 3

Step right up for our first ever Gaming Carnival! Sandbox Gaming is bringing the best of the best to our Youth Centre. Participants can join in on the fun for free and try their hand at the following games:

• Virtual Reality (Beat Saber, Super Hot, etc)
• Nintendo Switch (Smash Bros, Mario Kart, etc)
• Xbox (Fortnite, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals)
• Board Games (Magic, The Gathering, Pokemon, etc.)
• Retro games (N64, Atari, GameCube, etc)
• Ping Pong and Foosball

We’ll also have baked goods and other snacks available for purchase. And for those who are up for the challenge, they can bring the heat in a Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros tournament. Prizes are up for grabs for the winner!

🔫 Nerf Battles and Lounge Around - Sunday, May 4

Go full on 007 in a Nerf battle! Get your friends together on May 4 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a showdown like no other. Players will be divided into teams in a series of battles. While waiting for your turn, youth will be able to enjoy our Youth Centre, featuring our Xbox equipped with popular games like Fortnite or Marvel Rivals, our Meta Quest 2 Virtual Reality headset, a foosball table, and more!
