The Town of Paradise has received an application for approval to operate a home-based dog daycare business at the above noted property. The applicant has proposed approximately 5-15 dogs being cared for per working day. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The business is considered a Discretionary Use of the Residential Medium Density (RMD) Use Zone, as per the Town of Paradise Development Regulations, 2016. The Town of Paradise has received an application to permit an accessory building with a floor area of 56 m2 and located in front of the building line at 714 St. Thomas Line. Accessory buildings with a floor area less than 90 m2 may be placed in front of the building line subject to public notice and Council approval. This Notice of Discretionary Use is advertised in accordance with Sections 3.6 and 9.5 of the Town of Paradise Development Regulations, 2016. Municipal Boundary Adjustment |
The Town of Paradise and the Town of Conception Bay South are currently completing a feasibility study to review the location of the shared municipal boundary in the Vinyard Drive and Haliburton Street area. The Towns have retained Stantec Consulting Ltd. to complete the feasibility study. As part of the project, Stantec representatives are interested in hearing from residents about the boundary change. Stantec will be facilitating a public meeting to discuss the boundary change on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the CBS Town Hall, 11 Remembrance Square. You are invited to attend this meeting. As per the Feasibility Report and Assessment Report Regulations, a Public Hearing to consider objections to the boundary change will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the CBS Town Hall.
