The Town is offering an After School Program for the 2023-2024 school year. The program is designed to operate within all current public health guidelines.
The After School Program is organized with activities that are fun, social and educational, while still ensuring the required measures are in place for participants and staff.
The 2023-2024 After School Program will run from September to June, 2024.
Registration for the 2023-2024 After School Program opens for Paradise residents on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, and non-Paradise Residents on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Full program details, including registration details, are outlined below.

The After School Program is for children ages 4 to 12 years old. Children must be currently enrolled in kindergarten starting September 2023. |
Cost and Payment |
The total program cost from September to June is $1,500 per child. Note: Any additional costs are minimal, and will be noted in your registration package. The available methods of payment are: Online - Full Payment

Hours |
The program runs from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. each week day. Drop-off time is strictly between 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. |
Daily Drop-off and Pick-up Process |
There is a designated drop-off and pick-up area for the After School Program; parents / guardians are not permitted into the program area in the facility. All guardians are required to wait in the designated area outside the facility in their cars and staff will meet program participants to escort them into the program. For drop-off and pick-up, all vehicles must use Sarah Davis Way to access the facility. Please follow posted signage to be directed to the appropriate drop-off and pick-up location. NOTE: This information may be adapted as needed to ensure adherence with public health guidelines and efficient traffic flow. Parents / Guardians are required to do an at-home assessment each day prior to sending their child / children to school. If the child / children are ill, showing symptoms, or expresses they are unwell during the day they will not be permitted to attend the After School Program that day. |
Eligibility to Avail of the After School Program |
Provincial public health guidelines have outlined eligibility criteria for all After School Programs and all participants in the 2023-2024 After School Program must follow the criteria. Registration Information |
Registration for the 2023-2024 After School Program is online only. The system enables enrollment and payment for the program. Once you have accessed the registration portal you will need to either "Create an Account" or "Logon to Account". For further instructions, please visit Creating a Public Access Account page. It is recommended that registrants create an account prior to the registration date. Registration opens to Paradise Residents ONLY on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Proof of residency is required. Total of 40 registration spaces are available for this year, is as follows:
Once registration is complete, if any remaining spaces are available, registration to non-Paradise residents will open on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Registration is done on a first-come basis and due to limited space, parents / guardians may only register one family's child / children. MCP Number for child / children being registered for the program is required at the time of registration. Please inform us at the time of registration of any special needs or allergies that your child may have. |
Inclusion |
The Town strives to offer an inclusive program within the means and capabilities of staff and program guidelines. The After School Program does not offer personal care or some forms of physical assistance. Participants must be able to attend to all personal, bathroom and hygiene matters independently. Respite workers independently hired by guardians can accompany participants with the understanding they are solely responsible for the personal and physical needs of the individual. Respite workers must remain with the participant for the entire duration of programming, including meal times. Respite works must provide the Town with a clear Code of Conduct with a Vulnerable Sector Check completed and will be permitted at the discretion of the Recreation Technician. Respite workers must complete a self-health assessment prior to entering the program.
