Metrobus Service

The Town of Paradise partners with Metrobus to offer public transit to the Town of Paradise. Route 30 operates weekdays during peak hours and on Saturdays between the Paradise Double Ice Complex and the Avalon Mall in St. John's. Since starting in Paradise in 2016, Metrobus and the Town have been working to grow the ridership and provide residents with access to public transit. Budget 2024, further investments were made to enhance Route 30. These additions start on Monday, February 5, 2024. 

Service improvements include:

• Service starting at the Avalon Mall at 6:40 a.m. on weekdays
• One extra trip leaving Avalon Mall at 6:15 p.m.
• Service starting at 8:40 a.m. on Saturdays

Metrobus operates with an exact cash fare policy - drivers do not carry change. Riders need the exact cash or m-Card. The m-Card is an interactive smart card used to pay transit fares when riding with Metrobus. It can be purchased at the Paradise Double Ice Complex, online or at various sales outlets.  

The St. John's Transportation Commission, operating as Metrobus, has been providing public transit services in St. John's, NL, since 1958. Metrobus operates 22 fixed-transit routes and services more than three million rides annually within the St. John's region.
