New to Council in 2021, Councillor Glen Carew, who prefers to be called by his nickname since childhood, “Bic”, is a long-time resident of the Town and has seen significant development and progress since moving to Paradise with his parents in 1987. He has always wanted to be a contributing member of the Town in assisting to craft policy and help fellow residents who need direction with Town-related matters. Councillor Carew is a very social person who loves to chat and prides himself on a common-sense approach to municipal governance.
Councillor Carew is a long-time member of the arts community in the province and feels that this experience and perspective offers him a unique lens on municipal governance and resident relations in the Town. When not immersed in municipal matters, he spends time outdoors enjoying the Town's open space trail network on his mountain bike.
Councillor Carew is a current and active member of the Planning and Protective Services Committee, the Recreation and Community Services Committee and Chair of the Internal Canada Games Committee in the Town. He is also a member of the Peter Barry Duff Commission and Visions Employment Council.
