June 28, 2024 - The Town of Paradise announces an upcoming road closure for a section of Karwood Drive, in front of Paradise Elementary. This closure is set to commence on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, and will last for approximately two weeks. The road work aims to enhance pedestrian safety and the crosswalk near Paradise Elementary School.

Today the Town of Paradise is announcing a plan to temporarily reconfigure the dog parks in Paradise Park. The changes are designed to meet the needs of users while accommodating the beach volleyball courts for the 2025 Canada Summer Games.

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT
The St. John's Regional Fire Department issued a fire advisory for residents within the Region, (City of St. John's, City of Mount Pearl, and the Town of Paradise). The fire ban will remain in effect for a minimum of 7 days, with an update to be provided in the afternoon of Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
This includes outdoor wood burning appliances, including charcoal BBQs and open fires. Propane firepits and BBQs are permitted.

With this summer’s warm and dry weather, residents are reminded to limit their use of water outdoors to protect the water supply. The regional water supply, which services the Town of Paradise, is experiencing a higher than usual demand. Everyone is asked to work together as a community and region to conserve water.

July 23, 2024 – Paradise, NL: The Town of Paradise and the SPCA St. John’s today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide direct animal care and a safe haven for lost or missing pets from the Town. Mayor Dan Bobbett and members of Council joined with SPCA Board Chair Amanda Buis, Executive Director Karen Mahoney, and staff and animals from the SPCA for the event.
