Budget Talks Information: What we heard

Thanks to everyone who participated in our 2019 Pre-Budget process. Through Budget Talks 2019, the Town engaged with residents and collected meaningful input that is helping us to strike the right balance between maintaining and enhancing services, programs and infrastructure. With the addition of our budget simulator and social media polls, this year's consultations were more interactive than ever. Overall, residents indicated they are very satisfied with the Town's direction in many areas. Some key themes and priority areas included:

Promoting environmentally friendly approaches such as recycling;
Continuing improvements to traffic flow through investments to infrastructure (i.e. roundabouts),
Maintaining focus on traffic calming measures and enforcement;
Ensuring reliable snow clearing/ice control;
Investing in our recreation facilities, parks and walking trails; and
Employing sound fiscal management (i.e. invest in what we need);

The 2019 Municipal Budget for the Town of Paradise will be presented during the regular public council meeting in December 2018. Coverage of Budget 2019 will be available on the Town's website and social media channels.
