The Town of Paradise has been notified by the Chief Medical Officer of Health that out of an abundance of caution, residents are being advised that based on wastewater testing, the virus that causes COVID-19 has been detected in the Town. Public Health advises that while this result is not a cause for alarm, it indicates that the COVID-19 virus is in the area. Residents who experience any COVID-19 symptoms listed below should get tested. Testing can be arranged by completing the online self-assessment and referral tool available on the provincial government website (www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19) or by calling 811.
As a result of this latest Public Health update, effective immediately, face masks are required for all employees and visitors entering Town facilities (including the Town Hall and Paradise Double Ice Complex). This is out of an abundance of caution and to ensure that the Town is taking all necessary steps to keep our employees and visitors safe.
