The Town of Paradise advises that areas of the trail surrounding Adams Pond will be periodically closed to accommodate construction.
Due to recent comments concerning the construction activities in the Adams Pond area, the Town of Paradise would like to provide residents with clarification on the work.
As part of development in the area, and with permission from the Province, the Town is removing private structures that have been built on public land without approval or required permits. Residents with wharfs and other infrastructure located on public land were provided with advanced notice of these removals, allowing them an opportunity to relocate or salvage their structures.
The removal of private structures is taking place to ensure that future public developments in the area may proceed uninhibited. Additional planned developments to the trail and area will seek to enhance the public space, and make it accessible to all residents. As such, next year's budget continues to allocate funds toward developments and improvements in the Adams Pond area. These improvements will be designed for all residents to enjoy.
Work on the Adams Pond trail has been an ongoing process. This process is in line with the Town’s continued efforts to enrich suburban and residential areas by making their surrounding natural areas useable by all residents.
Depending on weather, construction work in the Adams Pond area is expected to take place up until November 30, 2016, with additional work continuing in the spring. Access to sections of the trail may be limited during this time. The Town will provide updates on the work as it progresses.
