Update - 3:40 p.m. June 6, 2025
We understand residents’ frustrations with the work on the Lanark Basketball Court. Last fall, The Town awarded the construction of the Lanark Drive basketball court to an outside contractor. The project had to be postponed when town staff identified a deficiency in the asphalt. This required the asphalt surface to be replaced.
Unfortunately, the asphalt plant only reopened for the season recently, so repairs could not begin. Repairing the asphalt is the first and primary step of the project this season. The Town is working with the contractor to get the court ready before school is out for the summer. We know it’s an inconvenience to have the playground closed, especially with the nice weather, but for everyone’s safety, the playground needs to remain closed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The Town of Paradise advises that construction of the new basketball court at Lanark Drive Park will resume on June 6, 2025, and is expected to be completed in approximately four weeks.
Residents are asked not to park in front of the park during this time and to exercise caution near the construction area. While the playground will remain closed, the community garden and access to the nearby trails will remain open. Please ensure that children are not left unsupervised by the construction site and to follow all posted signage during the closure.
The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause.
