
PSA Update – Paddy’s Pond Fire
**August 12, 2025 12:30 p.m. Update**
The fire remains out of control. The area of Town on the south side of Topsail Road from the Outer Ring Road exit to CBS boundary remains under an Evacuation Preparedness Alert. The Town is continually monitoring the situation. Residents are advised that should an evacuation order be issued, residents will not be able to return to their homes and should plan accordingly. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.

The Paddy’s Pond Fire was monitored closely throughout the evening, and it remains out of control at this time.
An Evacuation Preparedness Advisory to be prepared remains in effect for areas of Paradise and Conception Bay South. The list of streets included in the advisory area is available at paradise.ca/emergencyalerts.
Residents in the advisory area should be prepared now in the event you have to leave your home on very short notice.
To prepare for evacuation:
• Gather important documents, prescription medications, and emergency supplies
• Pack a go bag with your essentials to sustain you for at least 72 hours (clothing, food, water, chargers)
• Keep the gas tank of your vehicle at least half full
• Stay informed through official updates
