Public Service Announcement: Scheduled Road Work to Begin on St. Thomas Line
April 15, 2016 – Paradise, NL: The Town of Paradise advises the public that, starting Monday, April 18, 2016, scheduled road work will begin on St. Thomas Line as part of the St. Thomas Line widening project which began during the summer of 2015. Road work will widen St. Thomas Line from Topsail Road to just past Ridgewood Drive, while also allowing for the installation of a curb, gutters, sidewalks and storm sewers.
Road work will begin on St. Thomas Line near Lanark Drive, and will continue north to the intersection of Ridgewood Drive, occurring from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and running for approximately four months.
In an effort to ensure student safety and minimize traffic congestion during construction, the Town is working with the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District to implement a bussing contingency plan for students of Holy Family Elementary. Details of this plan will be communicated in the coming weeks.
During construction, the public is asked to proceed with caution and to expect delays throughout the duration of the project.
The Town of Paradise apologizes for any inconvenience this construction work may cause and will continue to advise the public, as necessary, throughout the project. For more information about road work please visit: www.paradise.ca
