Year-round the Town of Paradise hosts an array of events. Seasonal events are planned throughout the year which offer residents and visitors an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the community spirit of Paradise. The two main festivals for the Town are Snow and Ice, the annual Winter Carnival in Paradise held in February and SunSplash Paddle In Paradise, the summer celebration held annually in August.

Five and Dime: 5/10K Road Race (Sunday, September 15)

Date: Sunday, September 15

Time: 8:00 a.m.

Location: Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park

Paradise Running Club invites you to register for its Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA) sanctioned race. Starting at the Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park, this chip-timed race is a great way to get active. There are custom medals for age group winners and post-race refreshments and snacks available. Terry Fox Run (Sunday, September 15)

Date: Sunday, September 15

Time: 1 p.m. registration, Run starts at 2 p.m.

Location: Octagon Pond 

The Town of Paradise, in partnership with the Paradise Running Club, hosts the Annual Terry Fox Run in September. Registration starts at 1 p.m., the run begins at 2 p.m. The Town is looking for community groups, businesses and individuals to take part in this worthy cause and fundraise for Cancer Research. Paradise District Girl Guides Haunted House (Sunday, October 20)

Time: 4 p.m. - Children's showing; 7 p.m. - Youth and Adult Showing

Location: Paradise Double Ice Complex

Cost: $3/person or $5/family

Prepare to be scared! The Paradise District Girl Guides host a Haunted House with all proceeds going toward the group. There is a child time slot followed by a youth to adult time slot.  This year’s Haunted House is located in the in the Paradise Double Ice Complex. Pumpkin Stroll (Friday, November 1)

Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Location: Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park

Bring along your jack-o'-lantern to this free family event and help us say farewell to Halloween in a fun and eco-friendly way. We will provide a light source for each jack-o'-lantern and families can display them in the park for all to see. Once you place your pumpkin, take a stroll in the park and check out all of the other glowing designs.

This community event is an excellent way to dispose of your pumpkins as they will be composted following the event. Feel free to also bring along your reusable mug for the free hot chocolate!

Guy Fawkes Night (Tuesday, November 5)

Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Location: Paradise Park

Join us for campfires as we roast wieners and marshmallows in celebration of Guy Fawkes Night. Free roasting sticks and hot chocolate are available for all families. Remembrance Day Ceremony (Monday, November 11)

Location: Paradise Town Hall

The 2019 Remembrance Day Ceremony takes place at the War Memorial, in front of Town Hall. All are welcome to join us as we pay our respect to all soldiers who fought for our freedom.

Paradise Holidaze 2019 (Sunday, November 17)

Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Paradise Double Ice Complex - Resource Centre A and Gymnasium

Cost: $4 at the door; free for children 12 and under

This expo includes many craft, food and retail business vendors selling Christmas items leading up to the Holiday Season. Expect cuisine from many vendors plus there will be a children’s zone which includes bouncers, face painting, and fun activities for you children while you browse the aisles.  Come out before the Christmas Rush and find that perfect gift for your loved ones.  .
