In keeping with all current public health guidelines, we are excited to offer a variety of winter 2023 Fitness Classes. From beginner to advanced classes, we have a number of options to help you get healthy and active.
Drop-in options will only be available where space allows. A list will be added to the webpage of classes that are able to accommodate drop-ins after registration closes.

Registration for our 2023 winter classes opens Monday, January 9, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. for Paradise residents only and will close on Tuesday, January 10 at 4:00 p.m. Registration for non-residents will open on Wednesday, January 11 at 12:00 p.m. and is available online only through the Town’s Recreation Portal.
Winter 2023 Class Schedule
Wednesday Yoga – Flow/More Experienced |
This is a Hatha style yoga class with a flow like structure. We will move from one flow sequence to another allowing our bodies to soften and stretch. This is the class that will allow us to detoxify and unwind as we prepare for the most challenging pose of all, the Savasana. It would be ideal if you have some Yoga experience and knowledge of Sun Salutation. The Savasana and Pranayama practices will begin to increase in time as we go through the session. In this session the instruction will be mostly verbal with Assist or Non-Assist options. Yoga pose awareness will be an asset. Time: Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. |
Wednesday Yoga – Detox/Gentler Flow |
This class is designed to build strength, confidence, and wellness as we practice. There will be some gentle flow, incorporation of props and more detailed instruction on poses and yoga philosophy. If you have been wanting to go deeper into your Yoga practice, this class is for you. This class is suitable for all levels, including beginner. Time: Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. |
Morning Yoga |
Rise & Shine! Morning Yoga is designed to wake up the body and mind for the day ahead. This class is a fun way to stretch and strengthen. We will incorporate many elements of yoga and yoga lifestyle such as but not limited to Flow, Alignment, Core Strengthening and Prop Use. Time: Fridays at 9:00 a.m. |
POUND |
Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates inspired movements! Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Time: Mondays at 6:00 p.m. |
Barre & Stretch |
This fun and low impact class consists of strategic exercises that will build strength, increase flexibility, and engage various muscles in the body while incorporating the ballet barre. Slip-proof socks / Yoga or dance slippers are suggested, along with a yoga mat. Suitable for all fitness levels. Time: Mondays at 12:00 p.m. |
Spin/Express Spin |
Hop on the saddle for a high-energy indoor cycle class that provides a fun cardiovascular workout! On this ride you will experience various hill climbs, sprints and other drills all set to energizing music. Suitable for all fitness levels. Time: Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. / Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. (half hour express) / Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. |
Gentle Yoga |
As time goes on, we tend to become more inflexible, eventually leading to many restrictions in our daily lives. This class focuses on maintaining and improving flexibility while stretching through a series of yoga movements. Participants are encouraged to please bring a yoga mat. Suitable for all levels, with this class being most suitable for beginners or those who prefer more gentle practice. Time: Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. |
Yoga at St. Thomas Line Community Centre |
Explore the foundations of yoga, standing and sitting postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and balance in the peaceful St. Thomas Line Community Centre. Participants can expect to improve their overall fitness level by gaining strength, flexibility and balance. Participants are encouraged to please bring a yoga mat. Suitable for all levels, with this class being most suitable for beginners or those who prefer more gentle practice. Time: Saturdays 9:30 a.m. |
Cardio Tone |
This class is the perfect mixture of strength, cardio, Pilates and agility all wrapped up in one class! Time: Thursday 6:00 p.m. |
Fab Abs and Core |
Flatten your tummy and strengthen lower back muscles while improving your posture! During this 30-minute class, we’ll tighten thighs, work your abs and strengthen posterior muscles that are weakened from sitting or standing for long periods. Time: Thursday 7:15 p.m. (Half Hour Express Format) |
