PSA: 2026 Concrete Program Starts, July 09, 2026

July 9, 2026 – Paradise, NL: The Town of Paradise advises that the 2026 Concrete Program is scheduled to begin this week. Over the next four months, concrete repairs and new installations will be made throughout Town. The full list of streets is below. The work will be completed intermittently throughout the summer, with crews on designated sites Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; some weekend work may also occur on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For 2026, 680 metres of new concrete sidewalk and 180 metres of new concrete curb and gutter will be installed while 1000 metres of existing concrete curb and gutter and 400 metres of existing concrete sidewalk will be replaced.

New concrete installations are planned for the following streets:

  • Elizabeth Drive (Topsail Road to Iris Place)
  • Carlisle Drive (civic #19)
  • Trails End Drive (corner of Eagle Street)
  •  Paradise Road (between civic #127-141 and corner of St. Thomas Line)
  • Archarya Drive (between Sandpiper Place and the playground)
  • Legend Drive (near the playground)
  • Topsail Road Roundabout
  • Kenmount Road (from civic #1103 to the roundabout)

Concrete repairs and / or replacements are planned for the following streets or areas: 

  • Country Terrace (between Sheppard’s Place and Gosse’s Road)
  • Valley Ridge Subdivision: Triverton Street, Burnaby Street, Croyden Street, and Devaughn Street
  • Adams Pond area: Lanark Drive, Keystone Drive, Regal Place, Challenger Crescent, and Archarya Drive
  • Elizabeth Park area: Ellesmere Avenue, Horncastle Drive, Carlisle Drive

Minimal traffic disruptions are anticipated for the work on local roads. Additional notice will be issued before work begins on Topsail Road, Paradise Road, and Kenmount Road. All drivers are asked to use caution in the work areas and to follow signage and traffic control procedures.

The Town continues to assess road and sidewalk conditions throughout Paradise as part of its ongoing infrastructure planning. While the 2026 Concrete Program has already been finalized, residents can report areas of concern by emailing engineering@paradise.ca . Requests will be reviewed and considered for future annual maintenance programs. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this work.
