PSA: Depot Demolition to Begin - September 14, 2026
September 11, 2026 - The Town of Paradise advises that demolition of the depot portion of Town Hall at 28 Mcnamara Drive is scheduled to begin Monday, September 14. The work is expected to take three to four weeks, and residents are asked to continue to avoid the area during this time. The depot yard will remain an active, secure work site and be used for the Town fleet. Town employees and vehicles will be entering and exiting the area as required.
In Budget 2026, the Town outlined its plans for the Town Hall and depot which were damaged in a fire in February 2025. The interior of the Town Hall is being remodelled and involves modernizing workspaces, updating building features to current standards, improving the accessibility features, and updating the Council Chambers. The renovation work is on-going with expected completion around the end of the year.
For the depot, Council decided to proceed with building a new facility. The planning of the new building is underway and following the required procurement processes. A new depot, to be built on Town-owned land near the Dianne Whalen Memorial Soccer Complex, will provide a modernized facility to support essential services, offer expanded inventory space, and provide indoor storage space to protect equipment.
The Town thanks residents and staff for their understanding and cooperation as this work progresses.
