PSA: Traffic Calming Measures Scheduled for Summer 2026 - June 02, 2026
June 02, 2026 – Paradise, NL: The Town of Paradise advises residents that traffic calming measures will be installed in several areas throughout Paradise in the coming weeks for the 2026 season. These measures will remain in place until late fall.
New Traffic Calming Measures – 2026 Season
The following streets will receive centreline signs and bollards to reduce lane width and encourage lower vehicle speeds:
- Carlisle Drive
- Sedgewick Street
- Stormont Street
Traffic Calming Re-Installation
Previously installed traffic calming measures will be reinstated in the following areas:
· Carlingford Street
· Lanark Drive
· Clearview Heights
· Ellesmere Avenue
· Seascape Drive
· Brougham Drive / Ellesmere Avenue intersection
· Sgt. Donald Lucas Drive
Please note that traffic calming measures on Trails End Drive and Milton Road will change for the 2026 season. The measures used in previous years will not be re-installed in this area. The Town will continue to monitor the effectiveness of traffic calming measures throughout the season and assess additional areas where further traffic calming measures may be needed.
