PSA: Tree Planting Work at Paradise Park - September 08, 2026
September 04, 2026 – Paradise, NL: The Town of Paradise advises residents that tree planting work is scheduled to begin the week of September 8, 2026 in Paradise Park (1 Sarah Davis Way) and surrounding areas. The work will be completed by Murray’s Landscape Services and is expected to continue throughout the fall.
The first phase of planting will take place along the upper perimeter of Paradise Park. To accommodate this work, the upper-level gazebo and lookout parking area on McNamara Drive will close effective September 8, 2026, for approximately five weeks. The Town will provide an update when this area reopens.
The area between the bandstand and stage closest to the fence line will be closed for the duration of the project to provide a safe area for crews and equipment to move trees, soil and other materials.
Following work in Paradise Park, planting will continue in other areas around the Paradise Double Ice Complex and along Sarah Davis Way.
Residents are asked to stay clear of the work area and follow all posted signage. The playground, dog parks and volleyball courts will remain open at this time. The Town will provide updates as the work progresses and when further closures are needed to facilitate the tree planting.
The Town thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as this work is underway.
