Collection Notices:

Area 4A&B - Friday, April 10 (Holiday Observance)

In observance of Good Friday, garbage collection for Area 4A&B is moved to Monday, April 13. Please have bins to the curb at 8 a.m. on Monday for collection. Curbside recycling collection is suspended at this time as part of the Town's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 


Recycling Drop-off

Based on the respectful and cooperative participation at the Special Recycling Drop-off on Tuesday, April 7, the Town is planning to offer this service on a weekly basis. The details will be announced in the coming days.

Regular curdbside recycling collection is suspended as part of the the Town's response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure employees can focus on providing essential services. We thank everyone for their co-operation and patience as we adjust our operations as part of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents must follow all the guidelines outlined below; if at any time they are not followed, the drop-off will be closed immediately and no further recycling opportunities will be provided. The health and safety of our workers and our residents is paramount during the COVID-19 pandemic. 


Guidelines for Recycling Drop-off:

  • Two recycling trucks, one for cardboard / paper and one for containers, will be on-site and residents will be responsible for placing blue bags in the appropriate truck. Crews will not be available to assist residents with putting recylcing in the trucks. it is the sole responsibility of residents. These measures are implemented for the health and safety of all involved and to ensure that current public health requirements are followed. 
  • Recyclables must be separated as either cardboard / paper or containers and bagged accordingly. Guidelines for accepted materials are available on the website
  • Absolutely no glass items; glass is not accepted in the curbside recycling program. 
  • All Cardboard must be in blue bags, no bundled or loose cardboard will be accepted.
  • Physical distancing measures must be practiced at all times. 
  • Drivers must follow all traffic calming and directional measures in place.  
  • Drivers must remain in vehicles until they are in the unloading area. 
  • Access to the Paradise Double Ice Complex Parking Lot is only available from Sarah Davis Way.
  • Crews will not be available to assist residents at any time; 
  • Garbage is still being collected curbside as per the regular schedule, therefore no garbage will be collected at the Recycling Drop-off and no garbage trucks will be on site.
