Emergency Water Shut-off – Elizabeth Drive (July 18)

The Town advises of an emergency water shut-off for Elizabeth Drive, between Cedar Drive and Jane Heights, for today, Monday, July 18. The water shut-off is required to complete repairs in the area and is expected to be restored by 6 p.m. this evening. 

When water is restored, residents are reminded to run their water for a few minutes in the event of any discolouration or air in the pipes. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

PSA: Regional Water Conservation Order in Effect

With this summer’s warm and dry weather, residents are reminded to limit their use of water outdoors to protect the water supply.  The regional water supply servicing the municipalities of St. John’s, Paradise, and Portugal Cove-St. Philip's is experiencing a higher than usual demand. PSA: Archibald Drive Upgrade Project

The Town of Paradise advises that the Archibald Drive upgrade project will begin the week of July 11, 2022. The work involves installation of a new storm sewer, curb, gutters, and sidewalks. Construction will occur from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and will continue for approximately four months. At times, due to the nature of the work, there will be traffic slowdowns, but minimal traffic interruptions are anticipated. Town Hall Closed - July Holiday (July 11)

Due to the July holiday, the Town Hall is closed on Monday, July 11, 2022. The Paradise Double Ice Complex, including the Fitness Centre and the Summer Day Camp program, is open.

Splash Pad Closed -July 6

Due to equipment issues, the Splash Pad is closed for the morning today (July 6). Crews are working on the issue and an update will be provided this afternoon. The Town apologizes for the inconvenience.
