Safety Reminder: Municipal Confined Spaces

The Town reminds all residents that municipal confined spaces, such as storm drain catch basins, are not for public access nor are they safe to occupy. Any time a resident notices any unusual activity in Town infrastructure, please contact the Town immediately at 782-1400 and staff will respond accordingly. The Town of Paradise advises that on-site work at Woodstock Gardens Playground is scheduled to start Saturday, October 29, 2022, and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, November 2, 2022, weather-permitting. It involves in the installation of various amenities including, tables, benches, and garbage / recycling containers. PSA: Temporary Water Shut-off for Evergreen Village (October 25, 2022)

The Town of Paradise advises of a planned, temporary water shut-off for Ashgrove Drive, which may impact other streets in Evergreen Village, scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is required as part of the water and sewer upgrades on-going in the area. When water is restored, residents are reminded to run their water for a few minutes in the event of any discolouration or air in the pipes. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Town of Paradise advises of a lane closure for a section of Topsail Road to complete road repairs. The eastbound lane of Topsail Road, between Corcoran's Road and Duffs Crescent, will be closed Thursday, October 13, and Friday, October 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Crews will work to minimize the impact on traffic; however, given the nature of this project, traffic interruptions can be expected. PSA: Trail Maintenance on Octagon Pond Trail (October 12, 2022)

The Town of Paradise is advising residents that trail maintenance for Octagon Pond Trail is scheduled to start October 12 and will be ongoing for approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Crews will be completing brush cutting, trail maintenance and other work on the west and southwest sections of the trail (between the Paradise Park access point and Octagon Pond Elementary). The trail will be open for use, but trail users are asked to use caution in the work areas and follow all posted signage....
