PSA: Temporary Water Shut-off for Evergreen Village (October 11 & 12, 2022)

The Town of Paradise advises of a planned, temporary water shut-off for Evergreen Village, primarily affecting Ashgrove Drive, for Tuesday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.  The water will be turned on each evening. The water shut-off is required as part of the water and sewer upgrades on-going in the area. When water is restored, residents are reminded to run their water for a few minutes in the event of any discolouration or air in the pipes....

Media Advisory : Official Opening of Multi-sport Turf Field at Dianne Whalen Memorial Soccer Complex

To mark the official opening of the new Multi-sport Turf at the Dianne Whelan Memorial Soccer Complex, the Town of Paradise is hosting a Friday Night Lights celebration. Mayor Dan Bobbett and Council will be joined by representatives from the Paradise minor sporting associations for the event.

Members of the media are invited to attend. As this is an outdoor event, those attending are advised to dress appropriately.

Tely 10 Road Closures - October 8, 2022

The 94th Annual Tely 10 Mile Road Race is scheduled for Saturday, October 8. To accommodate the start of the race, the following road closures are in place:

• Topsail Road: from St. Thomas Line Eastbound to McNamara Dr closed from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. (race starting area)
• Topsail Road: from St. Thomas Line to Lanark Drive to Glendarek Drive is open to local residents only, all traffic is detoured through Clearview Heights via Lanark Drive.

Emergency Water Shut-off for Evergreen Village - September 29, 2022

UPDATE: Water is expected to be restored by 5 p.m. this evening, Thursday, September 29. As a reminder, when water is restored, residents should run the taps for a few minutes to eliminate any air in the pipes or discolouration. The Town apologizes for the inconvenience.

Town Donates to Hurricane Fiona Red Cross Appeal

The Town of Paradise is proud to donate $5000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support the Hurricane Fiona Appeal. The devastation being faced by Port Aux Basque and areas is unimageable and our thoughts are with all those affected. The Government of Canada has established a donation-matching program with the Canadian Red Cross to support those impacted by the storm.
