Road Update - February 4, 2023

The Town of Paradise advises that crews are out clearing streets and doing ice control, and will continue throughout the weekend, however, drivers are advised to use caution. With the current extreme cold temperatures, road salt is less effective and roads can be slippery.

Community Boathouse Site Assessment Work

The Town of Paradise advises that site assessment work at 1717 Topsail Rd for the design phase of the Community Boathouse project is scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 2 and take approximately two days to complete. Residents can expect minor traffic interruptions as heavy equipment enters and leaves the site, but no major traffic delays are expected. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this work.

PSA: Construction Starts to Replace Lift Station 10

The Town of Paradise advises that construction on the replacement of Lift Station 10 at the corner of St. Thomas Line and Topsail Rd is scheduled to begin January 26, 2023. The current Lift Station 10 is reaching the end of its service life and needs to be replaced. The new station to be built on the site is designed to serve for 50 years, including meeting continued growth, and will have several improved and updated features to service the Town.

PDIC Opening at 12 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2023

The Paradise Double Ice Complex, including the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre and the Fitness Centre, will open at 12 noon on Sunday, January 22, 2023. All other recreational facilities will remain closed for the day.
