Each year, the Town of Paradise asks local students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 to help us design our official Town Christmas Card. We get hundreds of entries, and it's a joy to look at each creative and colourful submission. With no changes to mil rates, the $37.2 million 2021 Budget for the Town of Paradise was presented during the regular Public Council Meeting on Tuesday, December 15. For 2021, the residential and commercial mil rates will remain at 7.2 and 11.5 respectively. The Town is facing reduced revenues next year as property assessments have decreased. The Town of Paradise advises of traffic interruptions on St. Thomas Line, between Topsail Road and Carlingford Drive, on Wednesday, December 16 between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The traffic interruptions are needed to complete testing in the area as part of the upgrade work on Lift Station 10. The 2021 Budget for the Town of Paradise will be presented during the regular public council meeting on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. with the budget being delivered at approximately 6:05 p.m. The Public Council Meeting is available via webcast.
