Summer Student Employment

The Town of Paradise offers a wide range of instructional programs and activities for children, youth, and adults throughout the Town during the summer months.

Summer Student Positions support the Town's summer day camps and other programs that will be available this Summer. A list of all available positions for 2026 can be found on our Summer Students Positions Page.

If you are a motivated, enthusiastic, energetic individual who would like the challenge of working in a recreation environment, apply for one of the exciting and challenging Summer Student positions.

Summer Student Positions support the following Town summer programs:

The Town of Paradise offers three different summer day camps:

  • Camp Caboodle: children attending grades 1 or 2 in September
  • Camp Wahoo: children attending grades 3 or 4 in September
  • Camp Excursion: children attending grades 5, 6 or 7 in September

Applications must be received by March 20, 2026. Please refer to the Eligibility Requirements and Application Checklist below for instructions. Please note that late applicants are only considered if there are unfilled positions.


Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a Summer Student Position, individuals must meet the following criteria:

  • Valid Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR qualification
  • Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6 months) is required
  • High Five® Certificate (if completed)
  • Some positions will require that you are eligible to attend a post-secondary education institute in the semester following employment

Application Checklist

Please ensure you include a completed Application Form with three references (including contact phone numbers) as part of your application. You must also ensure that no more than two positions of interest are identified.

Only completed application packages will be considered. Please ensure you include the following information for a complete application package:

  • Resume
  • Completed application form
  • Identify up to two positions that you are interested in
  • Three references, including email addresses and phone numbers

Interviews

We thank all those interested in working with the Town of Paradise. Only those selected for interviews will be contacted.

Prior to the start of employment for all Summer Student positions, mandatory training sessions will be held during the week of June 23 – June 26. There will be no training on June 22 due to the Discovery Day holiday.
