To lead by example in sustainable operations and planning, inspiring residents and partners for an environmentally healthy Town.

Strategies

ES1. Apply an environmental lens to all decision-making processes in balance with fiscal responsibility to preserve and enhance environmental health.

ES2. Foster relationships with partners that support environmental stewardship to promote an environmentally sustainable future.

ES3. Invest in interventions that will prepare Paradise for the impacts of climate change using the Local Climate Action Plan.

ES4. Apply creative and longterm planning to preserve environmental assets throughout the Town.

ES5. Invest in approaches to increase waste diversion in the Town.

• Percentage of waste diverted from landfill.
• Total area of preserved open space in Paradise, following direction in the Municipal Plan.
• Climate Adaptation Maturity Scale.1
