We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organized individual with strong leadership skills to supervise the Town’s Summer Day Camp programs (Caboodle, Wahoo, and Excursion). The Day Camp Supervisor plays a key role in enhancing programming by creating engaging, age-appropriate activities that meet the needs and interests of all participants.
Responsibilities include program planning, supervising and scheduling staff, organizing daily activities and requesting, tracking, and acquiring inventory and supplies. This role requires creativity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team in delivering safe, fun, and memorable camp experiences.
Qualifications:
- Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6 months)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
- High Five® Principles of Healthy Child Development
- Two years’ leadership experience
- Two years’ experience working in a summer program
- Two years’ post-secondary education in a field related to children/youth issues, needs, or development (ex. recreation, physical education, education, early childhood education, social work, nursing) Experience/training in planning and coordinating programming for children/youth in a group setting
- Experience in training, supervision, and evaluation of staff, program planning, and experience in instructing various sports activities, crafts, and games
Period of Employment: June 1 – August 21, 2026
Rate of Pay: $19.00/hour (40 hours/week) (flex-time will be required)
