Child and Family Programming

Our Tot-time playgroups will help get you and your children (ages 0 – 6 years) moving, all designed to help your child develop gross motor skills!

Role of parents or caregivers in our programs:

  • Enjoy the program with your child(ren). Our program is a play-with-your-child experience that provides you opportunities to engage in the space together.
  • Supervise your child(ren). You are expected to play with or be always alongside your child(ren).
  • Share and respect the space. Respect time limits, encourage respectful interactions, tidy-up together, and stay home when you are sick.

Our Recreation Employees are here to:

  • Connect with you.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming space.
  • Role model positive parent-child engagement.
  • Create an enriched play space and engaging invitations to play.

The Gentle Reset is a new 10-week community cohort designed to support the physical, mental, emotional and social recovery of new caregivers during the critical ā€œfourth trimesterā€ and beyond. This program is a fun approach to wellness with participation and resources from certified specialists, including a postpartum doula, board-certified music therapist, postnatal yoga instructor, and recreation practitioners, as well as community activities for staying active with your little one! This program is ideal for most newborns up until walking age.

Wellness areas that are included within this cohort are as follows:Ā

  • Welcome/Play-Based IntroductionĀ
  • Babywearing & Attachment: Holding Your Baby, Building Your BondĀ
  • Swimming at the SummitĀ
  • Postnatal Yoga SessionĀ
  • Music Therapy SessionĀ
  • Mindfulness for Parents: Finding Calm In The ChaosĀ
  • Stroller Walk at Neil's PondĀ
  • Preparing for the Transition: Returning to Work After Maternity LeaveĀ
