Water Conservation

The Town of Paradise has a permanent Water Conservation Order in place. Through these measures, the Town hopes to avoid having to issue a ban on outside water usage. All residents are asked to please use water wisely!

Under the Water Conservation Order, lawn watering is only permitted at the following times:

  • Odd Civic Numbers (end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9): Sundays and Thursdays - 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Even Civic Numbers (end in 2, 4, 6, 8, or 0): Saturdays and Tuesdays - 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Residents can only use a lawn sprinkler during the times specified above, according to the civic number.

New lawns are exempt from this order for a period of 60 days, daily between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from the time the lawn is installed or replaced. To qualify for, or if you have questions about this exemption, please email Municipal Enforcement for written approval.

Non-sprinkler Water Usage
Residents can use a hose with a shut-off nozzle to water / clean the following:
  • car
  • siding
  • windows
  • flowers, trees and shrubs

Residents can only use a lawn sprinkler during the times specified above, according to the civic number.

Those failing to comply with this order are subject to a monetary fine and may have water to the property turned off. A water reconnection fee of $50 will apply to have water service reinstated.
