Memorandum of Understanding Signed with East Coast Trail Association

The Town of Paradise has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the East Coast Trail Association. This MOU marks the establishment of a major partnership between the Town of Paradise, Conception Bay South, and Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s to commence trail enhancement for the historic path between Topsail Beach and Portugal Cove.

Tely 10 Road Closures

The annual TELY 10 Mile Road Race will once again kick off in Paradise. The TELY 10 is Newfoundland's premier road race, and is believed to be the third oldest road race in Canada and one of the oldest in North America.
The 2018 Tely 10 Mile Road Race is scheduled for Sunday, July 22. The Tely 10 starts in the Town of Paradise and runs through Mount Pearl and St. John's.

PSA: Detours on Topsail Road for Paving Operations

The Town of Paradise is advising residents that effective Monday, July 16, the following detour routes are in place on Topsail Road, in the area from St. Thomas Line to Carlingford Street (see map for detour routes):
- In the morning, eastbound traffic will flow through Topsail Road until 9 a.m., at which time eastbound traffic will be detoured through Spracklin Blvd.

Fire Advisory for Town of Paradise

The Town of Paradise is advising residents that a fire advisory has been issued by the St. John’s Regional Fire Department based on the current high index and dry windy conditions. All permits for open air fires are banned. Outdoor Wood Burning Appliances such as chimineas and open-air fireplaces are permitted and residents must follow the Town’s Open Air Burning Regulations when using them. The Town of Paradise is allocating $5,000 to support the Rovers Search and Rescue (SAR) fundraising campaign for a new UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) equipped with an infrared camera. “We are proud to support the Rovers Search and Rescue in their fundraising efforts for this new equipment.
