Garbage Collection Cancelled for Tuesday, February 27

The Town advises that due to the pending forecast, Garbage (Area 2) / Recycling (Area 2B) Collections are cancelled for Tuesday, February 27. Area 2 collections are rescheduled for Wednesday, February 28, and will take place along with regular collections for Area 3. Residents are asked not to place wheeled garbage carts or recyclables out for collection on Tuesday.

On January 30, 2018, the provincial Privacy Commissioner issued two reports on access to information requests made to the Town of Paradise (Reports A-2018-004 and A-2018-005). In the reports, the Commissioner reviewed the Town’s response to the requests and made subsequent recommendations. ACAN Property Demolition

The Town has approved an application for demolition of the property at 1641 Topsail Rd, the ACAN building. Demolition is expected to begin in February, and will make way for redevelopment of the site. Fencing has been placed around the area to control loose debris and prevent public access during demolition.
Water Shut-Off Notice for Evergreen Village

UPDATE: January 17, 2018, 5:30 p.m. - Water is now restored to the area of Evergreen Village. Residents are reminded to run water for a few minutes to avoid discolouration.
The Town of Paradise advises residents of Evergreen Village of an emergency water shut-off for Wednesday, January 17, 2018 due to required water main repairs in the area.
The Town apologizes for any inconvenience caused as repairs are completed. An update will be provided once water is restored to the affected area.
